With the unveiling of the new OutBack Mate3… OutBack Power wanted to make sure the new unit would meet and exceed industry standards and expectations. Which is why they came to GreenTow. GreenTow, will be the first Mobile Solar Trailer in the world to test and display the new OutBack Mate3. The OutBack Mate3 Advanced Power System is a new leap forward in remote monitoring, array stats, comprehensive battery monitoring and an easy to read and operate extra large LCD display! Outback Power already provides GreenTow with an exclusive mobile, off-grid inverter package. It only seemed natural for the testing of the new Mate3 in off-grid mobile environments to be done by a team like GreenTow. GreenTow always features the latest the solar industry has to offer. Zions National Park

Events at Zions National Park don’t want loud, fume emitting generators… so they use a GreenTow.

When you need to power 18 booths without emitting any noise, fumes or fuel… who ya goin call? In this case, a single GT3049 is all that was needed. The largest of the GreenTow mobile solar power units, this trailer single-handedly provided power for the event. Did we mention that the event lasted until 11PM? With GreenTow advanced battery integration and distribution, extra power obtained from the panels during the day, fed into battery storage which continued to power the event long into the night!

Rugged Military Grade Batteries

GreenTow uses commercial/military grade Sun Xtender batteries, model PVX-2580L 12v. With a single battery capacity of 165 AH (Ampere Hours) at 1 hour and 258 AH at 20 hours, these 165 lbs. deep cycle AGM (absorbent glass mat) batteries are a perfect fit for a mobile solar system. Depending on your needs, GreenTow trailers can be configured with as few as 4 batteries (1×4=48volts @ 165 AH) or as many as 36 batteries (9×4=48volts @ 1,485 AH), providing as much as 2,322 AH of power on a 24 hour rate. Bottom line – GreenTow trailers are capable of producing 19,500 watts @ 120 volts for 30 minutes, or 12,700 watts @ 120 volts for 8 continuous hours without the assistance of the generator or solar array.

GreenTow is the only mobile solar power company to use Class I, Division II modules on our units. GreenTow utilizes the commercial industry leader Kyocera multicrystal photovaltaic modules to outfit its solar array. Kyocera panels are well known for being dependable high-efficiency pv modules. The particular model installed on all GreenTow trailers is the KD135sx-upu, producing 135 watts of clean power per panel.
